Speed dating had it almost right, but there was something a little bit ‘off’.

The conversations became a bit too predictable, too repetitive to get to know the soul behind the face; and each mini-date started to blur with the next.

We set out to design highly entertaining dating nights that combine the positive aspects of traditional speed dating (each round lasts about 15 minutes), with the added fun and structure of a get-to-know-you party game.

Each round includes fun prompts and light interactive elements designed to get you beyond small talk and into topics that have real meaning.

We make getting to know your date fun and low pressure.

We deliberately keep our events small, with around five mini-dates (five participants of each gender).

What to expect
You’ll receive an email from Speed Match Studio with instructions to fill out a Guest Registration Form, where you’ll get to provide some information about yourself, a photo, and a photo ID to verify age.

After you’ve filled out your registration form, you’ll receive a link to the Zoom meeting that you’ll be dialling into for the event. We will encourage you to use a PC and a webcam. Mobile devices are not well suited for an evening of on-screen games!

On the day of the event, you’ll receive another reminder from us. Our Speed Match Studio host and matchmaker will request all guests to turn on their cameras and test their mics. This is where you’ll first get to meet the other guests.

The Matchmaker will then put you in a “room” with your first date! Because the instructions for the game will be clear on your screen, playing will be very straightforward. After 15 minutes of games and get-to-know-you questions, the Matchmaker will move you to a new room with your second date, and so on.

Shortly after the event is over, you’ll receive another email from us; this time, you’ll see a list of the guest profiles, so you can think about who you ‘clicked’ with and reply to us with who you’d like to meet again. We need your reply by midnight!

After midnight, we will send you another email with your matches and their contact information. You won’t have to ask yourself “Should I text them?” because, well, the answer is obvious.
